Shares of Invitae gain after company says Baker Bros. owns 12.6% stake

Shares of Invitae Corp. (NYSE:NVTA) climbed after the genetic-information company said investing group Baker Bros. Advisors owns at 12.6% stake in the firm.

The stock gained 6.3% to US$5.44 at 10:29 a.m.

The ownership level is based on 53.7mln shares of common stock outstanding, Invitae said in a regulatory filing.
